Hello!

Ever started with an idea and then it becomes something you don't like along the way?

Well that happened while l was creating this layout for this weeks sketch over at
Lets Get Sketchy

This is the finished layout that is completely different from how it began

This is what l started with
I wanted to use up some of my tapes with added stenciling but didn't like the look!!
l added chipboard pieces and coloured them with paints. The green is actually metallic but it doesn't really show in my picture

I decided to hide the tapes with muslin that l inked and l took  some of the threads to add to the layout

I was happy with the final result, funny how things turn out.

Here is the sketch to follow and you can add your entry HERE  to be in the running for a great prize.

Time Flies!

Is it just me or do others think that the days fly by? Maybe it's a sign l'm getting older.
I seem to have lost 3 weeks!

Today l am sharing this layout based on a sketch at Lets Get Sketchy

Some close ups. The doily was cut using a Sizzix die

Better late than never

What a week its been at work, the busiest week of the year and posting this layout slipped my mind, so please excuse me!

Lets Get Sketchy have a super cute layout this week to play along with, l had so much fun creating my layout and here it is

I have used a stencil on the background. On some parts l have simply inked and to others l have added a sandy texture paste. Its hard to tell from the pic but it has a gritty texture and adds that something else to the layout. Over that l added some ink splatters, stamping and liquid pearls.

Some close ups

I have painted the wooden birds and added gloss

Stamping and ink splatters

You can sort of see the sandy texture in the yellow, I've added layers under my photo

Lets Get Sketchy

June is almost over and l am sharing a layout at Lets Get Sketchy using lots of stamping.
You can check it out HERE at the LGS blog

Here is my layout

I have coloured some of the stamped flowers and have again used  Freckled Fawn products that we were given to use throughout our layouts this month. This time l used the wooden shapes to add another flower dimension.

I must add that my inspiration for this layout came the very talented Di Garling, she is such a talented scrapper.

Thanks for looking:)
